Après Relax, Love Today et Grace Kelly, la révélation pop de 2007 lance un nouveau single : Big Girl (You Are Beautiful).
Extrait de son album Life In Cartoon Motion, la chanson sert de B.O. à la série Ugly Betty (baptisée Le Destin de Lisa, en France). Elle a même bénéficié d’une adaptation spéciale : dans le refrain, Mika chante Hey Betty, you are beautiful au lieu de Big girl, you are beautiful.
Mika a d’ailleurs confié au magazine anglais The Sun qu’il adorait cette série et qu’il était honoré de chanter sur sa bande originale.
